O ator John Hurt morreu nesta sexta-feira (27) aos 77 anos de idade, segundo da revista The Hollywood Reporter.
A carreira durou mais de 5 décadas, começando em 1962, quando ele estrou no drama romântico Britânico The Wild and the Willing (Um Grito de Revolta). Ele estrelou mais de 120 filmes, que lhe rendeu duas indicações ao oscar (O Homem Elefante e O Expresso da Meia-Noite), uma vitória no Globo de Ouro, quatro BAFTA Awards (Maior premiação do cinema britânico) e muito mais.
Seu trabalho mais recente foi Jackie (2016), que conta a vida da ex-primeira dama americana, Jacqueline Kennedy. Outros trabalhos incluem Hellboy, Hellboy: O Exército Dourado, V de Vingança, Hercules, Doctor Who,Harry Potter: E A Pedra Filosofal e as Relíquias da Morte parte 1 e 2.
Hurt deixou dois filhos, Alexander e Nicholas, e sua esposa Ann Rees Meyer.
